You have questions. We have answers.
When should I do the test?
Our laboratory prescribes that the finger prick is performed on day 6 after the first day of your menstrual cycle (so if Monday is your 1st menstrual day (day 1), then perform the finger prick on Saturday (day 6)).
How long does it take to get my results?
You'll receive your results within 5 days of receiving the sample at the lab.
What will the test tell me?
- If you have a normal amount of eggs for your age
- If you are at risk of going into menopause early
- If you are at risk of PCOS
- If your thyroid is working well
- If there are issues with your ovulation
Are the tests accurate?
Yes, they are extremely accurate. We have partnered with a top lab provider that uses state-of-the-art machines to analyse your sample in an ISO 9001 & ISO 13485 certified laboratory.
Upon arrival, your sample is checked for temperature, volume and transit time and all results are reviewed by our clinical chemist.
Can I use it on birth control?
This package is only suitable for women who do not use hormonal contraception (such as the contraceptive pill, an implant, an IUD, etc.).
If you are using hormonal contraception and stop doing so to perform this test, we advise you to do this test after the first full cycle without hormonal contraception.
Does insurance cover the cost?
At the moment we have not partnered with any insurance partners but feel free to check with your provider as the reimbursement may vary on your contract you have with your insurance company.
What's in the report?
For each hormone tested you will receive a clear explanation of the purpose of the specific hormone, your result, whether it’s inside the normal range and what it could potentially mean for you.
The report will show you any hormonal imbalances, potential risks and any potential reproductive and thyroid conditions that you should look into.
Can I ask my doctor for this test?
We wish. Normally it's a lot more difficult to get fertility testing. You have to have been trying to conceive for over a year without success before testing is recommended.
However, a home fertility hormone test offers the flexibility to check your hormone levels whenever you like, even if you’re not actively trying to get pregnant to take proactive steps.
Can I discuss the results with a doctor?
Absolutely. After the test is done you will receive a downloadable PDF lab report which you can take to your GP or OBGYN to discuss next steps.
